So, you know how you guys love God and stuff? --Delayed from 10/02/17
Sorry,
this week was also delayed.
This week has been chalk full of adventure.
To begin with, we have a new best friend. “We” being the four of us sister missionaries in the
South Butt(e) house. We had just gotten home at the same time, and this eight-year-old
girl rolls up on her scooter and says "So, you know how you guys love God
and stuff?" And now we're buddies. She also
told us that we are the prettiest girls AND that we're angels. She knows what's
up.
We also made a new friend at the food trucks Friday night. My comp and I were walking around
trying to decide what to eat when the chicken and waffle guy started talking to
us. He saw our nametags and said "oh hold up. I got something ya’ll are going to love!" I thought he was
going to try to give us coffee. Nope. Instead, something grand happened. He
pulled us over and showcased a bottle of
sauce labeled "sweet Jesus." HAHAHAHAHAHA I DIED. I LOVE
PEOPLE.
Are you ready to read the coolest
part of the week?? We were headed to the church building for a session of conference when somebody called the sisters and
said: "do you girls want to see a bobcat?" Um, heck yeah we do! So we stopped
by this guy's blacksmith shop out back behind
the house and were greeted by a mustached man who took us to
his chicken coop and pointed out the bobcat chillin
underneath a sheet of plywood (is that how you spell that??). Unfortunately, Bobcats
are dangerous, and they had to put it
down to protect the neighborhood kids. After
that, we sat down to general conference.
Speaking of general conference, it's always incredible to listen to our prophets and
apostles.
And that's all I have to say on that subject because I have to go. The church is true folks. Bye.
